In a heartwarming display of humanity, Rev. Amankwah, Hohoe Presbytery Chairman of the Global Evangelical Church, saved the lives of a pregnant woman and her unborn child in the Oti Region of Ghana.
The woman, who was in intense labor, had been turned away from two hospitals due to an ongoing nurses' strike. Her desperate husband was transporting her on a motorbike when she collapsed due to unbearable pain.
Rev. Amankwah, who was driving by, quickly pulled over and loaded the distressed mother into his car, rushing her to a nearby facility. In a miraculous turn of events, the woman delivered her baby in the pastor's car. Despite the newborn showing signs of critical oxygen loss, the medical team from CeaderVille Hospital sprang into action and resuscitated the baby.
Today, both mother and child are safe, thanks to Rev. Amankwah's selfless act. The community is hailing the pastor's kindness, which proved to be a lifeline for the family when the healthcare system failed them. Rev. Amankwah's actions serve as a reminder that humanity and kindness can make all the difference in times of crisis.
